Every year Nathan's Mother puts together a huge Christmas party that involves every living descendant of her grandfather and his sister. Needless to say over the years the families have grown and even though not everyone came make it every year it's nice to come together at Christmas. This year we had a turn out of about 75! We all have dinner and dessert then the kids put on a talent show followed up by a special visit from Santa! We missed the party last year because I was sooooo sick and so Bubba didn't get to see Santa. This year I was worried that he would be scared of Santa (being the first time he would sit on his lap) but I had nothing to worry about. Austin broke down into tears because Santa wasn't there to see just him. He didn't understand that he had to wait his turn so he kept saying to me "can't I just look through his bag for my present?" Then he finally got to see the big guy and sit on his lap. He told Santa that he "needed" cars for Christmas. I couldn't get his to smile for the camera but trust me, he had a good time.
We also exchanged gifts with all the cousins (which are Nathan's cousins actually) and I have to say that Bubba was by far happier with his present than any other kid there! His eyes got so big I thought they might pop out of his head!!! I'm so sad that I didn't have my camera with me when he opened his presents! One of Nathan's cousins Aubrey gave Bubba a new Lightning McQueen and the big Mack Truck that opens up and has a car wash inside! I have never seen Bubba so excited or happy!
Not to be out done, Little Miss Pai was totally sweet with Santa and kept playing with his beard! She liked him about as much as he liked her outfit. They totally matched!
