GRRRRRR......

So I'm seriously pissed off at State Farm Insurance right now. For those of you who don't know Nathan and I are renting my Parents basement appartment right now until we get a new house. About a week ago my Dad was backing out of his garage and hit my car. An innocent accident and not a lot of damage. When he called his insurance to file the claim they told him that my car would not be covered and they would not fix it because we are related and living under the same roof. Does anyone else see this as being stupid yet? That's like saying that if You backed into any other car that is owned by you or a member of your "household" your insurance will not fix both cars>!!!! What's the freakin point of paying for insurance if they don't pay to help you when you need them. Now I've been fighting with his insurance company for a day or two now because they are being HORRIBLE to my Mother so I got involved because let's face it, I'm meaner! They are back to reviewing the case under the fact that we rent the basement and are claiming that it's an apartment separate from the house. Mind you that NO claims adjuster has come out to even view the cars or talk to us about the accident until I called today to yell at someone. My father has had this policy for 42 YEARS! I guess that State Farm must have so much money that they are willing to lose a 42 year long client over a $1000 dollar claim! So FYI, read the fine print carefully and when you insurance company tells you that they have made changes to your policy, read the fine print carefully!!!!!!!

That is the dumbest thing I have ever heard!!! I would be fired up too. I am glad you were there to try and set things straight. You are "meaner" I thought that was hilarious! Good luck with that, I hope they get things straightened out for you.

I hate insurance. The 2 accidents that I have been in (not my fault) were by people that didn't have insurance...therefore I had to pay my $500 deductible. So they get off with no punishment and it costs me money!!!!!!!! Insurance companies are so lame...on a side note...so are credit card companies! Good Luck! Let us know how it turns out!
