a new take on sleeping bags

As most of you know after we sold our house back in October we moved into my parents basement. Well as basements go, it was COLD so I got an ingenious idea to make my kids some "sleeping bags" that they couldn't get out of. I know they make them for younger babies cause I always had them for my kids but now that they are bigger and don't fit in those tiny bags I had to improvise. Here's what I came up with...

My kids love them! in fact I ended up making a couple for each kid, Austin still likes to wear his around the house when he's feeling chilly. It's a bit baggy in the mid-section (no he's not that fat) so that he can roll around and not get a tangled up! They were quite fun and came in very handy in the cold basement!
