Ok, so for those of you who know Paityn, here's a little story for you. Saying that Paityn is adventurous is an understatement. She's a daredevil and loves to try anything. The other night was no different. Just after she got out of the bath tub and got into her jammies she decided that it would be super fun to climb into our fireplace. No, I don't mean on the hearth in front of the fireplace but actually inside. Now Nathan and I like to have fires in our fireplace and we do pretty much all winter long so you can imagine how much soot has built up on the top of the flue. As she was playing Peek a Boo with Nathan through the screen and we were laughing our butts off, she decided to stand up. Needless to say her head and pretty little curls got COVERED in soot. I have never seen a baby change colors so fast. Nathan finally got it together enough to retrieve her from her new play pen so that I could again put her in the bath tub. Now we did not get pictures because we were simply laughing too hard but Nathan got a picture of her just after we got her out. As soon as I get his camera I will post it for all to see.
PS when soot and shampoo meet, there is an explosion of black bubbles and they leave a "ring" around the entire tub. They also stick and discolor anything they touch so keep it in mind if your child ever does the same thing.

that is funny. craig was a fireplace child. his mother said he was always in the fireplace, or on top of the fridge, or in the dryer.

K-seriously that girl cracks me up!!! She is so spunky and adventurous-she's going to give the boys a run for their $ when she gets older!
